SP = Supported Project
CC = Core Component
PL = Project Leaders
PC = Project Channels

Description

Any Project active member, including Project Leaders and Sttering Committee members, are allowed to propose any project for archival if a valid reason is present.

Archival Reasons

Valid reasons for archival can be one or many, but not limited to, one of the following:

• the project has become obsolete
• the project is not used
• the project is lacking support for more than 6 months

Procedure

The proposed archival should be announced publicly through the official project channels. A period of discussion should follow and than a vote should be scheduled. If voting express positive support, the project and the connected repo should be archived. The process should be documented and the information should be publicly available.
